From the halls of Copacabana Palace Hotel in 1983 to the current 55 thousand square meters of Riocentro, the International Rio Book Fair has become not only Brazil's most important editorial event, but also a literary event that mobilizes the country. Each year, this cultural and business event exceeds attendance, sales and media expectations.
The Rio Book Fair is held at Riocentro, headquarters of Brazil's major national and international events. Its parking lot has 7,000 parking spaces and it is located in an area which is widely served by public transport options. With stations nearby, BRT TransCarioca connects the Alvorada bus terminal, in Barra da Tijuca, to the Galeão international airport , in Ilha do Governador; in addition, it is one of the major road improvements in the city. With BRT TransCarioca, the forecast is a 60% reduction in travel time between the airport and Barra da Tijuca.
Attendees can have access to the event through the purchase of tickets, on each day of the event. Each ticket is valid for 1 (one) pesson on 1 (one) day of the event.
