The XIII Rio de Janeiro International Book Fair drew the greatest number of attendees in the history of the event. From September 13 to 23, 640 thousand people visited Riocentro, where the book fair was located. The cultural program featured over 130 sessions where more than 360 international and local book authors took part.
New areas, such as Reader’s Corner and Philosophy Pub made their debut with great success, joining the booming Literary Cafe, Discussion Forum, Young Arena and Poetry Mezzanine. At the Reader’s Corner, people were able to join smart debates and express their opinions via electronic voting. The Philosophy Pub was a great hit also since it brought together important Brazilian authors in a warm environment.
